Pranav Vasanthi
Research Fellow
Pranav is a Research Fellow in the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham. His research expertise involves developing physiologically relevant in-vitro models using state-of-art microfluidic and tissue engineering techniques to explore human diseases. After completing his Masters in Immunology, he pursued a cross-disciplinary PhD in Mechanical Engineering, during which he developed a novel in-vitro model of the human airways and a novel smoking robot to explore e-cigarette biological effects.Pranav is an able communicator of science and a keen advocate of public engagement. He has won numerous awards for oral presentation including winning the 3 Minute Thesis (3MTĀ®) competition twice.
